Antonio Carraro SRX Hybrid – FACOS Electrical System for Auxiliary Units and Partial Traction

Sector: Agriculture / Special vehicles

Final client: Antonio Carraro S.p.A.

Award: Gold Leaf – Innovation Prize, Fieragricola Verona 2022

Summary

FACOS designed and supplied the complete electrical system for the Antonio Carraro SRX Hybrid, the company’s first compact mild hybrid tractor.
The vehicle combines a traditional diesel engine with a smart electric subsystem that powers auxiliary components and supports traction in specific driving phases.
Thanks to its modular hybrid architecture and energy efficiency, the SRX Hybrid won the Gold Leaf at the Fieragricola Innovation Prize 2022.

Background

In modern agriculture, compact tractors are increasingly required to operate in sensitive environments such as vineyards, greenhouses, and livestock sheds.
This makes emission reduction, noise minimization, and energy efficiency top priorities.
A mild hybrid architecture enables manufacturers to retain the benefits of diesel power while integrating electric support for specific functions, paving the way for full electrification in the future.
